Library Books – Harold Chu – I love my library, big time – huge library nerd. I go daily. I think it’s hilarious that people spend so much money on NetFlix when they have a completely free solution probably 5 minutes away – your public library! The great thing about this app is it will remind you when your books are due and let you know when any of your holds are ready for you to pick up.

GuitarToolkit – Agile Partners – as a guitar player and teacher, this app is perfect. Built-in tune, metronome, chord charts, even support for banjos, basses, and mandolins! You might scoff at the $9.99 price tag for this app, but go ahead and shop for a tuner/metronome combo and get back to me about how expensive this app really is.

My Humps Deaf Interpreter… this lady is great!

New Games for your iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch…

Hungry Shark - Part 2 Hungry Shark – Play your own version of Shark Week for just $0.99!
Hemispheres Osmos – Hemisphere Games – this game is flat out beautiful, buy this for your iPad for just $2.99. Really cool soundtrack and amazing physics/visuals.
Asphalt 5 Asphalt 5 – really nice performance improvement on most recent version makes this $0.99 racing game well worth it.

My Top 5 iPhone Apps Right Now…

  1. Hipstamatic – hey look, I too can take cool pictures
  2. LibraryBooks – so happy when they added my library system
  3. RunKeeper – although the spotty GPS coverage thanks to my 3G holds me back at times, I love this app as a runner
  4. HR Battle – when I have some down time, I go yard
  5. Google Tasks – I’m a to-do list guy and although this is really a web app, I can’t live without it
